This is Iran's Beautiful Nature through my lens.
My name is Golriz Khanalizadeh, a nature lover, photographer, and environmentalist. I was born and live in Tehran. I studied chemistry and worked as a laboratory expert for a few years, but my passion for nature and adventure changed my career path. I started landscape photography as my specialized genre in 2012. To explore the pristine and beautiful scenery of Iran, I made many trips all around the country which were difficult, instructive, and enjoyable.
Iran has a high geographical diversity. From the north to the south, you encounter different landscapes. From high mountains to vast deserts, from rocky shores to dense forests and flowery plains. The desert was the first place that fascinated me and I focused on capturing its unique landscape for two years. The result was my solo exhibition entitled "Forms In The Desert" which was well received by the audience.
To better understand the characteristics of Iran's nature, I participated in training courses for ecotourism guides. This made me realize that environmental conditions are very fragile and are threatened by various factors.
I believe that we will love what we know and will protect what we love, therefore I try to introduce the natural attractions of Iran to the world and I hope that my photos will create a desire to protect and love this natural heritage in the hearts of the audience. I dedicate this collection to my husband who is my best friend and companion on the journey of life. It was impossible to capture these moments without his kind presence.
